Design was in my fabric growing up. I can still remember my grandmother taking me to the San Rio store at the mall and I would get as many Kero Keroppi stickers I could get my hands on, to plaster all over my stuff.
In high school, I didn't have much direction with what I wanted to do in my life, so I took the easy path of following in my mother's footsteps of Accounting and rode a 20-year career in Corporate Finance on the backing of just a high school diploma. Not bad, eh?
Fast forward some years, I got bored with crunching numbers all day, everyday and God started to send me signs that I wasn't destined for something more. It wasn't until the 3rd layoff that I finally got the memo. And the rest has been history . . .
AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER, I'VE BEEN A CREATOR
I discovered Becca Luna Education, took a chance and invested in my future. And now my husband is a full time stay at home dog dad to our 2 dobies and my business doubled both of our corporate salaries combined.
After a stab at being a Marketing Manager where I gained so much experience on running a business, I left that role and officially launched my business!!
I always knew I was destined for more and the layoffs just kept coming. As I sat in that conference room balling my eyes out in front of 3 high level executives, I felt relieved because I knew it was time to finally follow my dreams.
I faced a trial of post traumatic stress and went to Google for answers. When I couldn't find it, I decided to create it. I was on a journey to start my own PTSD blog to help others but I had one problem - I needed a website. I dove head first into web design and well, I never made it to step 2.
Starting as an Accounts Payable Assistant and working my way up the Corporate Finance ladder. I got to the top and hated it.
